Justin Fields has clearly thrown it away today. The longer Northwestern keeps this game close, the more the Nut Necklaces will feel that choke collar around their neck grow tighter.

Devontae Smith and Trask had a better shot than Fields even before today. Trask likely gets shut down tonight and his chances go out the window. If D Smith and Jones have a good game, it may come down to the two of them.

I have a different theory. I think if TL has a huge game this evening he gets it. Mac Jones and Smith may split some votes in a way. They might work against each other to an extent. Smith would definitely be deserving if he gets it though.
