IMO doesn't have very good touch around the hoop and doesn't know how to use the backboard.

Just dunk it when he’s that close.***

He was up against two 7+ footers in the paint.

He can't "just dunk it" against those guys. He's not a great leaper in the best of circumstances, but today he was definitely outmatched when trying to force up a shot from close in. And he's nobody's "jump shooter", so his 10-12 footers were really ugly.

All in all though, he did his part on defense, and what's more important ... he stayed in the game at the end without getting his 5th foul.

Hey I'm happy with how he attacks the boards and gets those rebounds. He just needs to cut down on those little dumb fouls he makes at times. I think his shooting will become hotter when post season comes around. Just keep getting those rebounds and blocks, cut down on dumb fouls.

We would not have won the game without Elijah

Feb 3, 2018, 4:54 PM

His defense was crucial. Wake was much more effective when he was out and built up a couple on nice leads when he was on the bench. When he came back in, we always made a come-back. His offense wasn't great today but Wake played two guys taller than he is, and they were quick to double him when he got the ball. This opened things up on the outside for us.

He is a good player - not all conference yet - but I am glad he is a Tiger. Some of you guys need to lighten up. We are winning this year and you expect everyone to shine. How about wishing for a decent back-up when he is out. Talking about that makes more sense than critiquing Elijah!
