We dropped back behind Tenn to 3rd in recruiting rankings

Jun 18, 2020, 9:36 PM

We were 2nd with a 262.60 yesterday but dropped to 260 today. At one point we were 263.

Crazy how they change ratings without anyone doing a camp or playing lol.

I know this doesn’t change how good we are or will be with these top recruits.

I’m worried more about UNC being 4th

Mack Brown is back to his cheating ways that made him good his first go round with the Tarheels.

I figure Unc will have a top 15 class when it is all finished. You can bet Uga, Bama, and Auburn will jump ahead of them in the near future.

From what I read the Heels will not sign a big class for 2021 so it’s possible those schools will pass them in the rankings. But it’s hard to imagine they sign better quality than the Heels have on the way.

It’s more of a statement about the school, in all honesty***

Just some bullet points on the current recruiting versus Tennessee:
1. We have 14 commits and they have 24
2. Most of their commits are 3 star players and we have one
3. Our rating average is over 4 points higher than their average rating
4. With 24 commits they have very few commits to add and we can still add
5. We are are in the running for some more 4 and 5 star players to add

But our player development is exceptional. We will discover we have people that other schools overlooked who will turn out to be amazing!

Dabo won championships with worse classes

A credit to he and his staff's coaching

I think the key is number of recruits. Tenn. 24 Clemson 14

Tenn. will be lucky to finish in the top 10.

I always just look at avg star rating not number of players

Jun 19, 2020, 8:38 AM

Tennessee. Maybe end up signing 33 players and what does it matter if 12 of them can sign and play b/c they have no scholarship. Bama used to always do this too and they would hit #1 every year for like 6 in a row, I don't know how you sign 30 kids every class. Sounds like some sleaze going on behind the scenes to me.

Well, did Tennessee need to a few more spots? I heard their RB is no longer with the team.

It seems with the long "sabbatical" our folks are setting records with the honor roll while the SEC is is rising for the honorable before receiving a record.

They also have 10 more commitments than we do. Class size plays into it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Ave. rating per player is the true measure...

Jun 19, 2020, 6:47 PM

Size of class weighed too heavily; (hypothetically) I'd much rather have a higher average & ranked 6th, than ranked #1 w/ a lower average-
