The SEC coattail riding is alive and well in the land of chickens
If I didn’t know any better, they brought home their first trophy in 50 years last night
We saw it... That is what he could do. One run up the middle and he was stuffed like he ran into a brick wall and injured. That was his first time going against an SEC D this year, and it ended poorly. It is still a different level of competition in this conference. More than just “Bama and everyone else” too- UGA, Florida and A&M would have probably all beaten OSU last night, and LSU JUST won it all last year. The SEC is simply the pinnacle of college football, that has not changed. Our new staff has their work cut out for then if they want to get us back to being a contender... The SEC has not let up.
I think that game was a perfect microcosm of SEC football. People always ask why we think we are a better conference, well it's because we face that type of punishment week in and week out.
I could only have been happier if WE had beaten an undeserving team for the national championship. Alabama not only upheld the honor of SEC football, but they also prevented the worst injustice in playoff history, perhaps all college football history.
