Whats the Plan if 5* OT Leigh

chooses elsewhere? CB's rolling in for LSU right now. This was a guy I thought we lead for and lead BIG. I know we have two other 5* OT's but they have never favored us.
Possibility miss out on all 3?

It ain’t over until it’s over, I’m sure we have some other guys that we continue to recruit.

The extra year of eligibility may change this somewhat. It will not affect the 2021 class but could impact 2022 so if you can hold a few scholarships it might pay off. Also you could have some veteran OL that hang around another year to push for the draft. That will lesson the impact of not hitting on every recruit this year.

All the OTs currently on the roster have another year (if they choose). Dabo and the Tigers will be fine.

I think we all know Jackson Carman is gone to NFL. Big deal.
Tristan Leigh just might've been the most important recruit of all this year

Technically we haven’t....in both of Clemson championships we’ve had Mitch Hyatt a 5 star and Jackson another 5 star

Ah the reference. I grew up in Gaffney and mom always shopped at Nanney’s school supply in Spartanburg.

isn't that why they picked up two OGs? one from fl and the other from Tennessee one is going to switch to play at tackle as a backup plan.

We've already got three 4* OL commits and the fat lady hasn't sung on Leigh or Rucci. We're four whole months away from signing day, my friend.

Not all five star tackles become nfl stars. Dabos staff is pretty good at winning with what they have to work with!

about- our recruiting is not one. We tend to do well and have a backup plan if a given player doesnt work out. we dont get everyone we want. no one dies but we recruit at a very high level and have a great batting average on prospects.

I've always thought we should get as many 5* OLinemen as possible. Can't have enough. Oversign. The more the better. Then, I think of the pound puppies in Athens. They have absolutely reeled in the blue chip OLinemen the last few years. As we all know, they have nothing to show for it.

I just watched a YouTube interview with Leigh done by an Oklahoma homer and he mentions several schools but never Clemson. It's a nice long interview. He does say that "branding" for players is a big deal for him and feels LSU, Oklahoma, and Ohio State lead in that category.
