What clearly separates him from etienne in my opinion. They’re the two best backs we’ve had but cj has all around skills to set him apart

the other thing that separates CJ in my opinion is he was doing it all by himself.
We did not have close to the same surrounding talent at QB, WR, OL, etc to take some of the pressure off of him. Everyone in the stadium knew he was going to get the ball and he still made superior athletes look foolish.
ETN is an amazing back and has next level speed, but he doesn't have the wiggle. He does well finding the hole with one move and getting north and south. This was main knock on CJ. ETN also finds himself in many more one-on-one situations because the other team actually has to cover the other players.

I wont argue that ETN has a better cast around him, especially on D (as spiller's big plays would have to either claw a way back or see it disappear with inconstant D play)

I have to disagree. Spiller will forever be one of my favorites, but ETN is the best back we've ever had. Spiller was more of a homerun threat, but ETN's mixture of breakaway speed, ability to get yards after contact, and ability to read his blocks sets him apart IMO.

he gets nailed by one of his own guys that knocks him away from a sure tackle by a terp.
I say a sure tackle, but he probably was going to juke him anyway, but the hit by the fellow Tiger didn't hurt.

level. Because, in college, somebody trying to tackle him one on one was just praying not to be posterized. He had an "ok" pro career, but nothing like I would have expected. Being unfortunate enough to have to play in Buffalo had something to do with that, as well.
