Let's do the Impeachment 2.0 Dance

Jan 11, 2021, 2:22 PM

Dems are forcing Republicans to defend the indefensible. The Republican leadership will have to go on record about what they believed transpired on Jan. 6, and either defend or renounce Trump.

It's a necessary move because it is an acid test forcing anyone who wants to have a political future to make a choice: Trump or the constitution. You obviously can't choose both.

It's going to be fun to watch.

And it's only 74,223,744.

Biden got 81,283,485...so even if I were to cede the 80 million (which I don't), Biden still won the election.

With inciting insurrection as the charge, this impeachment

could also nullify any presidential pardons, including a self-pardon, related to the perpetrators behind last week's episode were a conviction to occur at any point down the road. And though the Senate is not scheduled to return until Jan 19th, they could call an emergency session in the interim were DJT to take action worsening our nation's condition.

Smart move by the House to consider not sending the articles to the Senate immediately, though they would be there waiting in the wings if deemed necessary.

Pro,

I thought that the EC challenge vote was the acid test, but so many Reps failed that one that they are having to give another.
