ask, why do they take care of alabama so much. Last yr moved them to #1 so they could face the #4 team (OSU) who most thought shouldn't even be there. This yr they jump MSU over OU so Bama can face MSU who most think is the weakest opponent.

and the times for those games are already set. Clemson chose to play in Miami, therefore we play at 4. TV times are made well in advance of the teams that are selected
Pairings for Semifinals.
The team ranked No. 1 by the selection committee will play team No. 4 in the semifinals. Team No. 2 will meet team No. 3.
When assigning teams to sites, the committee will place the top two seeds at the most advantageous sites, weighing criteria such as convenience of travel for its fans, home-crowd advantage or disadvantage and general familiarity with the host city and its stadium. Preference will go to the No. 1 seed.

I would think from a ratings standpoint it does not matter to anyone. If they are thinking about ratings then they would not have put the games on NYE. We should have more people viewing our game than the 2nd game so I am not sure why Alabama gets the 2nd game other than the fact that Espn and the playoff committee let them decide when and who they wanted to play. Just pissed and ranting.

than 1 vs. 4? Because the Cotton Bowl is played an hour behind East Coast time and they don't want to compete on the West coast with the 12 o'clock bowl that somebody is playing? There are a host of possible reasons, including possibly "just because." It really doesn't require us to be butt-hurt over some possible sign of disrespect.
