I don't want to be part of "ND football history"...

Dec 21, 2020, 12:43 AM

...I want ND to be part of Clemson's FB history; just another good reason to enjoy stopping them from winning the first ever conference FB title.

Do you want to know what Alabama, Ohio State ,Penn State ,SoCal, Texas, UCLA, Miami, FSU, UGA and perhaps a dozen or so other big name universities with football programs all have in common with CLEMSON.
Well, if you don't know the answer ,then you don't know college football.
The answer is quite simple; These schools are "ALL" part of Notre Dame football history, because if you look at the through green colored glasses ,Notre Dame is the only school out there that is "football history".
Nobody else matters.

Their last national title was 1988. During the 30's & 40's they were dominate. In the last 30 years they have been a good program but no longer dominate. Also, their traditional opponents have gotten weaker. When was the last time Army was relevant.

How ND gained prominence

Dec 21, 2020, 9:18 AM

Returning soldiers in the early part of the last centurey (mostly Catholic and that is NOT a slur) were given scholarships. These veterans were men playing against college boys.
