You can't mention clutch without Jaron "Third Down" Brown in my opinion. In the last two seasons he had dozens of big catches on 3 and 7 or longer. He won't ever be considered one of Clemson's best but he was sure handed, for sure.

Better hands than Sammy and I really don't think it's close. Sammy has very good hands, Nuk's are about as good as it gets.

Oh so that's why they call him "Sammy Dropkins?" That makes sense, because Alshon Jeffrey and Sidney Rice didn't drop a single pass in their 4 years at USC....

Sammy is really close. Jerry Butler is right there as well. Hard to judge guys from years ago who played without gloves though.

I think Derrick Hamilton would've proven himself to be a better receiver than he showed, and he was danged impressive at times.
One of the truest things Tommy Bowden ever said was that #23 needed another year of seasoning before going pro.....but then, I wasn't privy to Derrick's family's financial situation either.

Butler and Tuttle were a little before my time, but from what I've seen, Nuk and Kevin Youngblood caught everything in their vicinity. I would trust throwing a newborn child to them from 30 yards.

No he wasnt as good as some of the players you mentioned but he was always a player we could rely on when we needed plays the most. He wasnt the fastest runners but definitly one of the most shifty runners with incredible balance. Funny thing is he actually was recruited as a QB and if im not mistaken he played a couple of series at QB against usuc during the 63-17 blowout

I would have to say Nuk but Jerry Butler was superb to back in the day. Considering the different style of play we have now it's hard to compare the guys from yesteryear to today. Kelly was solid also but that dropped ball against BC for the ACC Atlantic crown hurt even though it shouldn't. I think Sammy could have hands like Nuk but we will see this year. I sure hope he does.
