as allowing illegal immigrants to vote.
The US Constitution stated in Amendment XXVI, which was ratified by the states in 1971: "Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age.Sep 21, 2015
but in local matters we will let illegals vote because they agree with our agenda

Nice try, but no cigar.
Redistricting isn't a "conservative" tactic, or value. In fact, liberal democrats are just as guilty of doing it when it suits their needs.
On the other hand, voting rights for non-U.S. citizens are solely being pushed by liberal politicians.
Either way...take your political posts to the lounge.

You realize those were conservative democrats, correct?
There was a time the Republicans were actually progressive. Unfortunately that faction doesn't exist for them anymore.

If Mona Charon and Bill Federer are your best sources..

you need a better education. Perhaps you need to read more of Mona Charon's stuff. Mona wrote one of most the bizarre excuses of "victim blaming" on rape that I have ever seen. But she has also written "Mona Charen: Is Abraham Lincoln’s party now the party of Robert E. Lee?" which accuses the CURRENT REPUBLICAN party of supporting racism! And Bill Federer wrote "America's God and Country Encyclopedia of Quotations", a book that rivals David Barton's "The Jefferson Lies" for made up, rewritten, and 'out of context' quotes attributed to the Founding Fathers. Sorry, NO SALE!

Which one?

Both Lee(who freed his slaves) and Lincoln had some LIBERAL ideas on slavery, but... Lincoln enacted a Sedition Act which allowed him to arrest without trial anyone he suspected of Southern sympathies(including a governor of California) and forced Martial Law on the entire state of Maryland. Lee's refusal to return black soldiers was not his choice but Jefferson Davis and the governments who felt that they should eventually be returned to their owners. Grant made that a moot point with his stopping all prisoner exchanges in 1863.

Actually that's incorrect. According to both Gallup and Pew Research only about 34% of American's self-identify as conservative. The rest self-identify as liberal or moderate.

that conservatives are controlling and as closed minded as it gets about social issues and want to control people in that aspect. Conservatives are the ones that cared whether gay people got married and wanted to lock people up for life for weed. Conservatives love goverment control at times. Liberals want the government to be a safety net for everyone and want to limit certain freedoms because they think it is good for everyone. In that theory the liberal idea could be good, but it never ends with them it seems.

I am ultra conservative.... I assume that makes me racist to some degree but, I do agree with these arguments, regarding politics. The political platform on ESPN and the NFL players using the platform to protest a country that is absolutely the greatest there has ever been are making it difficult for me to enjoy pro-football. I do push it aside as I want to watch many of the ex-tigers ply the trade.
I think if the day comes I see the University or any players respond in this manner, I will have to gas up the boat, head to Awendaw , and drag a line on Saturdays.

The vote was more SYMBOLIC than real. The law is not changing and the council KNEW THAT. By the city charter it would require a three/quarters(six out of eight) to make that change, then the Mayor(who opposes it) would have to agree. You should read the (in Depth) and LOCAL articles in the Washington Examiner and Baltimore Sun instead of going because of a blurb from a (biased) Fox News.

Umm why is it that "liberals" think nazi's are far right? If you understand the terms far left and far right you know that all the way left (extreme left) is advocating for absolute government control, while extreme right is advocating for the least amount of government.
Nazi's were socialist and gradually implemented their socialist government agenda over time.
Only in modern day America is this divisive rhetoric being used to brainwash people who believe they are "liberal", when in fact they are just misinformed.

to conservative nature of a Nazi. Liberals in the US think about being socially liberal. When we think of people fighting for the rights of black people in the 60's, we think of them butting heads with conservative southerners. That's an example of why liberals compare the two types of people.

politics is a circle, not a straight line, the farthest fringes of the left and right are far closer to each other than the more moderate in their parties. Not a dime's worth of difference! As a historian once said, "If the people of Hitler's Germany and Stalin's Russia had the flags changed overnight, not one common man would notice. Hitler had concentration camps, Stalin had Gulags: both had secret police to terrorize their populations into obedience, both had purges of opponents within their own parties, both had cadres of thugs in their inner circle, and both ran roughshod over the personal rights of citizens of their countries." Hitler never did Nationalize the vast majority of his work force or take over control of the wealthiest companies(Krupp, Bayer, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Farben. Etc.) so his socialism was more a control of people's lives than of the economy. " while extreme right is advocating for the least amount of government" That made me laugh!!! Anti-abortion bills, anti-gay marriage bills, Voter ID(which I support, IF the Citizens United rule is overturned, other it is patent hypocrisy to worry about one vote being proven while thousands can be influenced in anonymity), unnecessary bathroom bills, control of science( climate change and stem-cell research), anti-Muslim and immigration bills, anti-pornography bills, heck, the left calls it "political correctness", the right calls the same thing "community values" and the SAME BOOKS get banned. Fact is, the far right has no problem with government over-reach, they just want it their way! Not a dime's worth of difference!
