Trump on Clemson graduate Nancy O'Dell
Jul 10, 2019, 3:41 PM
|
|
“I moved on her and I failed. I’ll admit it. I did try and #### her. She was married. And I moved on her very heavily,” Trump said on the tape. “In fact, I took her out furniture shopping. She wanted to get some furniture. I said, ‘I’ll show you where they have some nice furniture.’ I took her out furniture—I moved on her like a #####. But I couldn’t get there. And she was married.”
But hey, the economy's good so this doesn't matter to Republicans. They're all about money, nothing else matters. Not character, honor, integrity or honesty.
It's all about money.

How is that lame unfeeling trump sheep?
Nancy O'Dell is a decent woman.
Trump is a lecher and freely admits it.
Do you have any values at all?

sound right.)
Trump was my bottom pick of the "Republican" candidates. But he won the primary. I didn't like how the DNC hijacked the Democratic primary and the Supreme Court nomination was crucial. I hated Hillary's scripted and over-rehearsed responses in the debates - so I held my nose and voted for Trump.

But your rhetoric is getting unreasonable. A lot of people, like me, hate the fact that Trump is a pig and a child. I would happily vote for someone who was Conservative that had some character. The Dems won’t offer that.
I also live the willful narrow view that I want America to have a healthy, vibrant economy with low unemployment only for selfish reasons.

a maturing economic recovery is certainly the only card Trump really has to play, but it's a big one. But, if the markets tighten at all over the next year plus, he's a goner based on everything else about his presidency.

Another, at least to a practicing Christian.
If freedom from sin is now the requirement for our candidates, we could be waiting a while for the big JC to return.

'...Make sure your sins will find you out...'
If any Christian says he's without sin, turn in your Bibles to...no wait, you don't have to look anything up just talk to the man's wife.
In a world of google, people with too much time on their hands and seeking attention can uncover our faults and short comings in a quick way.
There comes a point where we resolve to stop weighing a man's value only by what he done wrong in light of what he's done right in his life.

Even if they don't like Trump, we aren't really offering them much of an option. We're offering open borders and free medical to anyone who can get here from Central and South America. Our sales pitch sucks.

Sorry but the Dems don’t get to say “you have to vote for our socialist or you don’t believe in morals”. Compromises have to be made sometimes.

A little research will show you that many of our Presidents
Jul 11, 2019, 9:41 AM

have been cads. The Trumpster was just caught saying it out loud.
I don't mean to imply it's a quality needed in a President - but it is one that has usually been overlooked.
JFK - we didn't know about it
Gary Hart (front-runner for Pres in 88) - we found out about it and people seemed to care
Clinton - we found out about it and people seemed to care, but not as much
Trump - we found out about it and people didn't care anymore...

8 years after an election, I won't care one iota about what
Jul 11, 2019, 9:50 AM
|
|
a president is doing now, or what he personally did, or how he displayed his character for the previous 8 years. I will never have met him, and he would have had no personal impact upon my character, my personal or political views, or how I look at life for me, my family, or anyone I know or have ever met. A president isn't your parents or your support system.
I WILL, however, be concerned with whether due to market forces and conditions, was able to continually increase my salary, further my career, and stay gainfully employed during those 8 years. And due to how a president conducts state business with respect to economic policies both here and abroad, WILL affect me. 8 years is a long time in a career--probably 1/4 or so of it. If you stumble for 8 years due to market conditions floundering, especially as you age- that's a long time to recoup in retirement. You may never gain back that time or earning ability.
Are you really that concerned with the character of a president, over what your own interests are?
So no, I don't care what Trump says, or says he did, or anything about his personality. In my life, and yours, and pretty much everyone--THAT won't affect you at all.

That may be the most rediculous disconnect
Jul 11, 2019, 11:51 PM
|
|
I’ve read in a long time.
No President will “increase your salary” Or “Further your career “ Or “keep you gainfully employed” That is 100% on you.
So if all goes well with any of those aspects of your vocation next year for you, you are going to give Donald Trump credit?
It won’t have anything to do with how hard you work, or if you figure out how to provide a great service that someone needs and wants to buy?
That blows my mind.
I can tell you, no President has ever come close to deserving 0.01% for my career and being gainfully employed for the last 107 years.
PS Please don’t bring up the Stock Market

You are correct, about what a president can and can't do.
Jul 12, 2019, 11:19 AM
|
|
However, if you don't think that a president can and does influence the US economic climate through his policies, then you have a "rediculous [sic] disconnect."
Raising corporate taxes? Loosening constraints on (illegal) immigration? Changing H1-B requirements?
The last one alone could immediately affect my ability to work, regardless of how hard I work. What do you thinking enacting polices will do to companies hiring and firing? Do you think they would have no affect?
And yeah..if you actually work in financials, a changing stock market would definitely affect your job and how much you make.
