As for the new coronavirus? On March 20, the death toll in the United States was 225. By April 20, the coronavirus had killed more than 42,000 Americans."

I'm about sick of the left's virus propaganda. What you posted ignores science. Testing shows that millions upon millions of Americans have gotten the virus without presenting any symptoms and now carry the antibodies to prove it. The stats are now confirmed by testing that the rate of death from this virus is barely higher than the regular flu.

That's science, you know, that thing that the left wing media accuses pubs of ignoring.

Everybody knew it was more widespread than the number of tests. This isn’t news to anybody. The fatality rate is probably 2-5x more than the flu, instead of 20-50x. But it is far more infectious than the flu because nobody had a pre-existing immunity. Do the math yourself and you’ll understand that if everybody gets it, we could expect 1-2 million deaths.

We know that the death rate for those with preexisting conditions to be at or just below 90%. A scientific evaluation would factor that into this virus being 2-5 times more deadly than the flu. That indicates that perhaps taking a closer look at protecting those who are most likely to succumb to the virus shouldn't be the focus of our efforts.

Perhaps these states which are beginning to open their economies aren't making such a grave mistake. This does not mean that NY or NJ should try at this time being their concentrations of virus victims remains so vast.

Imo, each governor is responsible for how his state handles the reopening. Let the people decide if he did well or not.
