14th in the ACC? Haha
This is our 3rd game of the season and this was our first true test. We just handily beat a team that had a chance to beat a ranked opponent at their place and it was our rival.
Our defense looks in midseason form already and one would assume will continue to improve, and we shot FTs and an incredibly % that basically won the game for us. Last year, we probably would have lost this game because of the missed FTs.
We still need better shooting and we will struggle against the better teams in the league, but it's obvious we have improved over last year. (Blossomgame's improvement over the season will be critical for this team to continue on its upward trajectory)

One encouraging statistic: 24-26 on free throws
USC didn't look like a great team - we're obviously more talented. But there's no reason not to be a little excited about the win. We played a pretty solid game; we gave up too many easy points, but that should be correctable.
Enjoy the positives.
