57 year old man here. Here is my 2 cents for anyone who cares. Old people are the worst. We did things back in the day that were “rude” as well. Young people are just having fun and not doing anything to try offend anyone. 90 plus % of what they do is ok. Lighten up old folks. Life’s too short. Wish I was a college kid again. Best 4 1/2 years of my life.

count me in the minority. those players are supposed to be representing their school, not showboating and expressing themselves through what, just a few years ago, would be considered rude behavior.
if you're a guy, get a haircut. knock it off w the tats- you're just a college aged kid and sleeping yourself will cease one day to be cool. show some respect and gratitude to the school which is giving you an education and the alumni and supporters who foot the bill.

Mighty suspicious to think "older" Penn State (or any State) alumni would have the audacity to write and send such; hence, why it looks rather contrived.
As for both longer hair and tattoos, they've been a trend amongst younger athletes for a while, and although I personally don't care for a tat on myself, neither are disgusting nor upsetting.

if this was fake and/or from a rival school. I also wouldn't be surprised if it's real.
I'd like to see it proven that it's real before I run with something that could so very easily be a dirty tactic by another school.
