The refs assisted a lot in this coot win, but the worst call

and the most obvious was the play where the coot runner appeared to have fumbled the ball a yard to a yard and a half short of the first down marker. The refs allowed the players to fight for the ball for about a minute and a half, during which scrap, the ball moved about 2 yards past the first down marker. The refs seemed like they were about to mark the ball wherever it was deemed to be recovered by wohmever. However, just before ruling who had recovered, another ref runs in and makes the," THe runner was down signal, back at the spot where the ball was originally fumbled". About this time an ECU player hops up with the ball, shows it to his coach and ECU gets flagged with a delay of game penalty, AND THE PLAY WAS NEVER REVIEWD TO SEE IF IT WAS A FUMBLE.

Several obvious holds as well. To bad for ECU, they played tough.
