The real issue with FSU’s decision to cancel.

Nov 21, 2020, 12:50 PM

I am so disappointed. I found all of this out when I turned on the TV as I was out running errands. I am not saying it is not the right decision to protect the players because I think it is.

Here is the issue though. What is the difference with a player testing positive on Friday vs a Tuesday or Wednesday? There is not really. The same inherent risk still exists. Thus, the game after Trevor tested positive should have been postponed. If a team is choosing to play these risks are there and assumed.

So moving forward a team can opt out if they are not comfortable playing a team with a player that has tested positive during the week is the precedent it sets. In other words, CFB season over.
