The path to the Peach Bowl

Assuming we get past UVA, can we end up in Atlanta for the semi-final?
Here's how: #1seed gets geographic advantage in semi-final.
First path - OSU, LSU lose, we are #1 seed Second path - OSU must be #1 seed. #4 seed must be closer to Atlanta than AZ. So, not Utah. Probably not OK. If OSU beats WI, UGA beating LSU would probably do it.
Other paths?

They are playing. Do you think Clemson would pick AZ over Atl if UGA was our opponent ? I don’t .

Trolling ???? Gotta guess trolling. I'm going with trolling.
Selection Committee Protocol 9B:
When assigning teams to sites, the committee will place the top two seeds at the most advantageous sites, weighing criteria such as convenience of travel for its fans, home?crowd advantage or disadvantage and general familiarity with the host city and its stadium. Preference will go to the No. 1 seed.

This again? How can we still have people thinking this after 5 years? The committee decides where the teams go. Period.

...it happened last year...Bama solicited committee to not put them in Cotton bowl if they were to face Oklahoma....that’s why they they were in Miami. The schools in the mix inform the committee in advance of their preferences to “home field advantage” based on possible matchup scenarios. So TECHNICALLY the committee does make the final choice BUT with the input from the schools.

Bama went to Miami because of the geographic advantage it gave them as the 1 seed. Playing in Texas would have been a disadvantage to them given their opponent.

Neal, why did we play in the sugar in 2017 and not the rose. Because Dabo himself said he wanted to make it easier on travel for all tigers involved. Why did we play in the cotton last year instead of the orange? Because saban chose orange. Didn’t want to play okie in their own backyard.

And if it was, who would want to play there in late December?
Buckeyes prefer the desert to Georgia.

No! We should have zero fear of UGAY. Hopefully we get to stomp a mud-hole in their arses and walk it dry! They don't even deserve a place at the table after losing to usuc, AT HOME! That is inexcusable, and no matter how much sugar is poured on it, it renders a team unworthy of attending a CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, at any level.

In your scenario UGa would most likely jump LSU and we would play them in ATL

In all of these debates about picking location

Everyone seems to leave out one thing.
The committee is not supposed to take matchups into account, but they can, will and do.
Look for a weird shakeup and surprise ranking that conveniently changes something. Maybe a lopsided home field advantage, maybe 2 SEC teams, I don’t know, but I have a feeling we are 3rd for the opportunity to push us too any ranking in the end to setup a matchup and it not be questioned that much.
