Well duh some might say after putting so little thought into the complexity of a statement made famous by a simple man. (Simple man can be debated later)
I will have to admit, when Dabo first said it I paid little attention to it myself. But then, as time wore on, as The likes of Christian Wilkins, Deshaun Watson and the latest to smile while saying it, Cornell Powell; it started to dawn on me just what Coach Swinney means when he says that.
It’s not some shallow a huck a huck, it goes much deeper. It means the time to have fun is on the field. Not in the class room, oh no you better keep your grades up young man. At practice? If you do that, there are a line of talented young men that will smile as they start the next game. During the game? That’s where you can have some fun. Because you have fought, sweat, bled and possibly cried from your struggle to the top, winning is easy and that is where the fun is at.
The man is a ### genius and all of us should stop and take a lesson from TL.....soak in the moment! The fun is in the winning but it has come with a price. Administration, staff, boosters, fans.....
