The fridge or Dexter

Jan 5, 2019, 9:21 AM

Both of these guys are some of the top if not the top DL to come out of CU. But who do y’all think is better. Based off of production I’d say Dex. Thoughts?

Go Tigers!

I will add my two cents.

Fridge was more of an athlete. Watched him dunk two basketballs at one time standing flat footed in Fike. Fridge played more like Christian Wilkins. Fridge was about 6'

Now, add Chester McGlockton (sp.) to the mix. He was a beast that played about 14 years in the pros. He was probably the best I have seen.

I concur

Fridge was light on his feet.
Saw the Fike B-Ball with my own 2 eyes.
Chester M. - When Motivated, might have been the most disruptive.

I’d say

in Fridge’s day, Fridge was the only guy on the field that was the size of a fridge, Big Dex doesn’t have that luxury. As for basketball, I played at Fike with Fridge, Tuttle, Headen and a bunch of other guys that I don’t know who they were. Andy Headen was “The Man” that day. Too quick for Fridge, too big for everybody else. A dunking machine.

I have fond memories of walking into Sloan Street Tavern and seeing Chester in there using a pitcher as his beer mug.

I remember when we signed Headen. I was super excited to get him. At the time a QB. I think he was from Spruce Pine, NC.

Headen was signed as a QB

Switched to Bandit DE and was a hell of a player. Solid NFL career with Giants backing up that ridiculous LB corps of LT, Harry Carson, Carl Banks, Gary Reasons.
