The almighty Jadeveon Clowney was out benched

Feb 23, 2014, 2:27 PM

by the Miami punter. Clowney just did 21 reps at 225, Pat O'Donnell did 23 at 225 lbs.

21 reps? Doesn't sound like much of a physical freak to me.

JC is also about 40 pounds heavier than the Miami punter. JC should be able to rep out more than the punter.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not necessarily

Feb 23, 2014, 2:51 PM

The punter might be a gym rat.

21 is the same as Carlos Dunlap benched

and more than All pro DE Jason Pierre Paul who only did 19.

Punter David Buehler did the same thing several years back. He benched more than his Southern Cal teammates offensive lineman Eugene Monroe, and linebacker Ray Maualuga and also outbenched Michael Oher (who benched the weight 21 times)

that took plays and even an entire season off? Wait until the Clown's wonderlic test score comes in.

don't know if Clemson fans on Tigernet thought that or

Feb 23, 2014, 6:34 PM

not

but of course that doesn't much matter when it comes to reality.

There is always an excuse after all the bragging about super man, Not. Just like he wasn't out of shape, everybody was falling out b/c of the heat.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No bragging necessary. It is what it is

Feb 23, 2014, 6:34 PM

he's a top draft pick in the 1st round- and wore Clemson out.

21 - what a beast. Well - at least he has his degree to fall back on. Oh wait, he is still a sophomore after 3 years.

Wore us out?!!! Did you watch our game this year, he had one sack that Tajh walked into...hardly the definition of wearing us out?!!!

That's just makes our new walk on(Kurt Fleming) a super freak. In his highlite video pumping 225 25 times with ease! He's gonna be a beast at H back!!

He does have long arms which hurts on bench***

hell brandon thomas did 35

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Hey he doesnt play for the chicks anymore

Feb 23, 2014, 2:35 PM

No need to hate now haha

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Are you for real?

Feb 23, 2014, 3:43 PM

There's always reason to hate a gamecock player like Clowney. He's a waste of dang space!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Aren't his arms shorter than Brandon's

Feb 23, 2014, 2:35 PM

nm

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He was disinterested

Feb 23, 2014, 2:51 PM

you didn't know?

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He should have done the combine last year

Feb 23, 2014, 2:52 PM

Since the NFL forced him to do it this year, it just isn't the same.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He had to use SEC weights. Their 45 lb plates somehow defy

Feb 23, 2014, 7:02 PM

the laws of physics, and are somehow heavier than their ACC counterparts.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I would have retired if I could have gone into the HOF last year

Feb 23, 2014, 2:55 PM

Maybe if they gave me Tom Brady money I would try.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

"Caught looking ahead", "dehydrated", "mystery injury"....

Feb 23, 2014, 4:58 PM

I can't be the only one who expected him to flop during the combine. As soon as he started saying he was going to show off @ the combine we all knew that he was going to disappoint. It's what he does. He is a liability and I'm fortunate that my pro team is in no position to even consider this joke.

I'm guessing he gets the "SEC curve" rule on his wonderlic.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I can do 5 bench presses...and after a refreshment Only 1.

Feb 23, 2014, 5:02 PM

at 95 lbs of heavy solid weights, mind you! Haaaa!

Re: The almighty Jadeveon Clowney was out benched

In all fairness - he was still tired from his 3 sacks and 12 tackles this year!

Feb 23, 2014, 7:23 PM

You know as soon as JC was done, EVERY single coot starting doing research and comparisons on a way to justify only doing 21 reps. Coot "Dang 21, let me see if I can look up any good big guys that did around that much too, so I can say its not a big deal a punter did more".

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not sure if it's a big deal

Feb 23, 2014, 8:17 PM

but it feeds into the whole does not work hard theme he's got going on
