The WooHoo has origins that date back to John C Calhoun

Jun 18, 2020, 4:22 PM

and the common battle cry of the confederate soldiers. They would yell... WOOOHOOO WOOHOO-HOO-HOO

as they fled through the Southern states waving the confederate flag. Ben Tillman was often seen around the statehouse randomly yelling WOOO HOOO whenever he signed certain legislation.

As stated previously in another post, this heinous cheer must immediately stop. It is embarrassing to me as a proud Clemson alum.

The Rebel Yell made the Yankees crap their pants. Don't believe the WooHoo's ever done that, though it has made many a man vomit.

It was a combination of Indian war cries and fox hunters' calls.

Here's a recreation made by taking the call of a confederate veteran and combining it to make the yell of a company of men.

Those Confederate soldiers remind me of that nice man who took a liking to Ned Beatty in Deliverance.
