The "Very Fine People" Lie

good opinion article. Lots of triggers for Liberals, so if you are one, take caution.
"But one of the other things that the defense did was call out one of the House Democrats’ lies, a lie that Democrats have continued now for years, a lie that Joe Biden said was part of the very reason he ran. That was the “very fine people” lie.
Raskin played a deceptively edited video that claimed that Trump had called Neo-Nazis “very fine people.” He edited out where Trump said, “I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally.” He was talking about folks on the left and free speech purists on the right. It’s a lie that’s been debunked for years. But that didn’t stop Raskin. Raskin also stupidly improperly identified the Charlottesville in question."

talking about from the get-go, so no debunking was needed until idiots and liars took it out of context, twisted it, and an activist media seized the opportunity to run with the lie and foist it upon a gullible public who believes they are getting the straight news.

repeat that lie when they surely know the truth. That's the left wing brain in action. Facts don't matter, it's only how you feel.

Exactly.
This is the kind of trash that circulates within the liberal echo chamber.
The mass belief in lie after lie, just like this, is why I continue to say polls don't matter, votes don't matter, etc. because so few know what ground truth is. Too many are voting and opining based on so much flawed information.
The right is not immune - with Qanon and the election. Too many outrageous conspiracy theories.

Trump mastered the art of duplicity.

He would condemn the alt-right terrorists on Monday, then if he needed to rile up his base, he'd invite them to stand-up and stand by on Tuesday.
Y'all are pathetic if you can't see the game for what it is.

first 2020 debate, "Proud Boys, stand back and stand by"

Trump famously said in response to the debate host badgering him to condemn white supremacists, "Proud Boys, Stand back, and stand by", then claiming that Antifa was just as bad.
He plays the both-sides game, every time, without having to address the actual context of Antifa and Proud Boys. He did the same thing with David Duke and the KKK, claiming he never knew who David Duke was when he had praised Duke a gazillion times in previous interviews.

The media is pathetic.

Meh.

-Trump coddled white supremacist extremists when it suited him.
-The white supremacist/neo Nazi segment of this nation adored him and came out in force for the first time in several decades during his presidency. It was solely because they felt he was their voice.
-They were all over the Capitol on Jan. 6.
-Now they have to crawl back in their holes.
-So does Trump. He lost.
-Suck it.
Your arguing over this quote is irrelevant. Trump emboldened and attracted horrible people. There's a reason white supremacists adored him. Sucks to suck, though. He, them, you, all those who adored him--you all lost. Trumpism is over.
I'm glad Trump gets this quote taken out of context. He deserves it given all he's done. So yep, he thinks white supremacists are fine people. Oh, he didn't really say it like that? Tough. He deserves to have it twisted around. The man doesn't deserve any fair treatment. None. And he won't get it.
Sucks, don't it?
