Unless something changes we will see more of this kind of mid season transfer more often. God bless the coaches who have to keep guys happy or watch them transfer in late September.

If the option weren’t on the table, KB would be upset and hurt and practicing with his teammates. He would be learning a hard lesson in life: it ain’t fair.

Instead he’s going to “do what’s best for my[his] future” by transferring to a mid-level team where he will not play for a conference title or be in the playoffs. And someone needs to tell him he’s got no shot at the NFL...as a QB. WR? H-Back? Sure. Much better chances.

Whatever rationale he’s using it certainly isn’t what’s best for him. Thanks NCAA. You suck again.

I’m ok with players having a little more control over their destiny. He’s a graduate after all.

The 4 game redshirt rule always can help coaches greatly by allowing the ability to give young players experience but not burn a year of eligibility.

Players provide great entertainment for fans and value for their schools. Coaches make lots of money to handle some tricky roster management issues.

We will be fine.

If he NCAA rule wasn’t in place KB would have transferred before the season.

The rule really benefited you guys in college station.

have happened had TL stayed in at A&M and you have no idea if KB would have transferred had the new rules not been in place. Go Wildcats!

Al I can say that as long as Coaches can leave and take new jobs after recruiting kids to play for them then the kids need option also.

thats a load of crap.... NCAA did not do this at all. Coaches are very happy with the rule, this gives KB an opportunity to go play somewhere else, great kid, if this what he wants let him go. TL earned the starting job.
