Espn is finally going to pay

Jan 2, 2018, 12:29 PM

They funneled all of that money to one conference to tip the scales. Now they have a championship game that will only be watched in a handful of states. I suppose advertisers won't be able to get a refund.

It'd be funny if some of those huge booster mid-western

universities/conferences with gigantic student bodies organized a non-SEC viewer boycott of the NCAA final....Fans of OhioSt, Mich, Texas, etc, not tuning in to the game could make a difference in advertising dollars ESECPN needs so desperately just now.

The World-Wide Leader can only force feed the public incessant SEC bias if the public accepts it.

let's socially engineer an acceptable geographic playoff scenerio by not watching unless there are quotas from each region. Sounds like affirmative action

apparently lame effort at humorous speculation and being pretty convinced you have no clue what "affirmative action" actually is, I'd characterize organizing a viewer boycott of ESPN as closer to an NRA effort sending mailers or phone calls to support a particular piece of legislation.

But, of course, I don't give a crap about politics---especially any that might get discussed on Tnet---and would never have intended anything of the nature. But seek conspiracy and controversy where you must.

Because I can't stand the SEC. but they won so they earned the right to be there.

Yeah, ESPN's parent company is in such bad shape they are able to buy out most of their remaining competition for content rights in 20th Century Fox. I am sure they could care less about a few million dollars lost in ad revenue for the CFP. Welcome to the media monopoly age. Since AT&T is being blocked from acquiring Warner Brothers, I suspect Disney will gobble up that content too eventually. Nasty things are afoot in big media.
