Tax Net II

I got my federal refund last night. It’s rather disappointing compared to years past. This new tax withholding formulation that we’ve moved to works well at keeping things high and tight, so to speak. But in the end, I still didn’t owe. So that’s a good thing, in the end. I really like when things work out in the end.

Still, I offer a superfluous meme.

The new position I took did not include relocation, which they were upfront about before I even interviewed. No problem there, the 60% raise I got was more than worth it, even comparing cost of living between AZ and MD.

BUT, what I DIDN’T realize was that relocation expenses are no longer tax deductible. ####.
