I can't help but be amazed at the job Coach Ritter . . .

Mar 7, 2020, 6:33 PM

and his staff have done assembling this team over the past two years . . . and the way these Ladies have answered the "call to arms" . . .

All I can do is Tip my Cap to each of them and say, "Thank You"!!!!!!!

What was the call at the plate that led to the Pitt coach being ejected? We speculated that the Ump called the catcher for blocking the plate. Anyone know?

The call was blocking the plate

based on the rule that a player without the ball in their possession cannot block the base path. The catcher was set to receive the throw, though, and the ball reached her before the runner got there.

I'd say the Pitt coach probably had a legitimate beef.

We still win!

Thank you. That's what we all thought, and yes that appeared to be a bad call.
