Huge loss, thankfully they discovered it before he could have been seriously injured. Hope surgery goes well and he has a great career, hopefully play one more year here and a long NFL career.

NFL teams know injuries exist, he would be a late 1st. He should go to the NFL if teams want to take him.

Nope, they are talking about fusing vertebrates together, and without a season of college FB to prove Ross is OK to play, I don't think he would be drafted in any round of the NFL.

If the Dolphins draft Tua at 5 after his injury history, Ross should get looks, assuming he can still play and comes back in beast mode.

Glad they caught this before he was permanently impaired.

I wish Justyn the best going forward. It would be good if he can return to football, but if not, he has a full life ahead of him.

As a Clemson football fan, I appreciate his massive contribution over two great seasons.

that Dabo also said no one has ever gone on to play football after the surgery being performed tomorrow.

He says the surgeon is optimistic in advance but Dabo is being realistic. He says we won't know until January if Justyn will even contemplate football again, and at that point it could be NFL combine or return for his 4th year at Clemson.

Very sad news for Justyn. Glad his injury was appropriately diagnosed. Certainly hope it will be completely healed to permit him to play up to his potential next year either for the Tigers or NFL. I think this situation makes having more TE impact on the offense a must.

That is a huge blow. Almost certain first round pick.

But, it is far from fatal. That's why recruiting depth is so unbelievably important.

All the cliches:
Next man up.
One man's misfortune is another man's opportunity.
Just gotta coach em up.

Etc.

Clemson will be just fine. But, boy do I feel bad for Ross.

Next man up. Guys will have to step up, and up their game to another level!!! We also have some good freshman receiver talent, and we have seen freshman come in and show out with their talent, and their opportunity to prove how good they are is now. But I will say that Tyler Grisham has his chance to prove why he is the new WR coach. Time to earn your money Tyler!!!

Dear justyn, 1) thank you for making the tough choice to leave the state of Alabama and become a Clemson Tiger. 2) thank you for an awesome freshman campaign and your integral role in bringing home a title. 3) thank you for a gutsy sophomore campaign, and playing thru apparent pain. Wishing you all the best Justyn! All in all not the worst year to have to sit out with so much uncertainty but he could have hopefully gotten in enough plays to be a top receiver pick if he wanted to move on. Now, its just get healthy and take care of yourself and see what happens. No comparison suggested here at all, but I ended my "career," such as it was, with the same injury so feeling the empathy with him.
