Sunbelt Championship Game canceled

CCU vs. LA-Lafayette Sun Belt Championship Game canceled due to a positive test at CCU. Teams declared co-champions. Don’t quite understand that verdict.

Guess they're using the same logic the B10 is if their CCG gets cancelled

if the game can't be played, the division winners are declared co-champs. In this case, doesn't make sense to me since CCU holds a win over Louisiana during the season. Gonna hurt Coastal's chances to get a NY6 bid.

I want to see them get matched up against a top 10 team. BYU was not a real team, a top 10 talent is going to waste them! A Coastal UNC matchup would be fun to watch

So Coastal has managed to get all of their games in to this point and now - "have a Covid-19" outbreak!

I am not suggesting this or saying I know anything - but isn't that just a bit convenient? Coastal doesn't want to risk possibly losing to Louisiana Lafayette or rather The SBC doesn't want to. Co-Champs means they both get to walk away claiming to have won it ( although Coastal went to Louisiana and beat the Cajuns ). Both keep that win loss record spiffy!

Of course, it could be as real as taxes and death too! I understand that - just commenting on how it appears!
