Strider getting the start tonight in place of Hennessy

I kind of figured something like this would happen sooner rather than later. If he can keep the walks down he will be an outstanding Friday night starter.

His velocity is down (for what that’s worth) and his inning count/pitch count is falling off as the season has progressed. If I am not mistaken similar situation last season.

A perfect situation would be to rest Hennessy this weekend for the postseason. Next week we will play 1 meaningless game in our pod no matter what. That could be the perfect time to throw Hennessy again
