ACC standings question

Nov 14, 2017, 2:34 PM

If Notre Dame would have beaten Miami and FSU would have beaten us last week, would ND have replaced Miami or us in the ACCCG? I know they're in the ACC and not in either division, so how does that work?

tia out loud.

I think Bama would have to spot UGAG 7 points in the SEC

title game ... that's it ... no ACC ramifications.

Still independent in football

Nov 14, 2017, 2:45 PM

I think they are in the ACC in other sports, but remain an independent in football, unless this was for a certain time period and things have changed.

Nah, they're definitely in the ACC for football***

I'm pretty sure they would have taken our spot in the ACC Championship game since we lost to a team with a worse record. Thankfully that's not what happened.

Thinking this question is way played or has

jumped the shark if you will.

You need new material. I hear TOTE1 is for hire.

Notre Dame Is Not Involved In ACC Football

Nov 14, 2017, 3:22 PM

The Irish play five ACC teams per season, so there other sports can be members of the ACC. Football games between the Irish and ACC teams do not count in the ACC standings. As long as NBC continues to throw a ridiculous amount of money at ND for its home games, the Irish will continue to be independent in football.

I don't think this is right. I think Notre Dame is a pseudo in both divisions so the team with the worst record of the division champs gets replaced by ND in the ACC championship game.

This is why we had to BYOG our guts a couple years ago. Otherwise we lose the ACC.

And as such, their season is effectively over

Nothing to play for except a decent bowl game.

this is gonna eventually frustrate them enough that will join the ACC.
