So...uof6c opens as an 18 point underdog at Florida...

Sep 28, 2020, 12:27 PM

The Gators are coming off an offensive explosion amassing a school record 642 yards of total offense (446 passing, 196 rushing) in a 51 - 35 thumping of Ole Miss, while the Capons laid an egg against an average to below average Tennessee team.

Unlike Tennessee, Florida appears to has a QB who can actually complete more than handful of downfield passes so look for this one to get ugly early. The Fighting Phallus' will score some but Florida will score more...a lot more.

Give-up the points and take Florida. This one won't be close.

They may catch the Gators feeling lugubrious.

Some were saying the 51-35 win felt sorta like a loss.

Florida gave up a good many points but some of them were late after the game was decided and I actually though Ole Miss has several playmakers on offense.

I'm not sure scar can be nearly as explosive on offense.

I hope Florida destroys their spirits enough to roll over into the coots' next game too.

What do you think the odds should be? I would say 28 rather than 18.

So far we have seen that many teams have looked very different in game 2 compared to game 1 so that makes it a really tough call.

28 may not be a bad pick because I could see something in the 45-17 range if both teams are true to their first week performance and UF having one game of film on the Bobo offense.

I do think scar has a way of making the other team worse in games like these (I could see it turning into a 34-17 type game with some turnovers) but I would probably set the line around 23.5-24.5 with an over/under around 65. Maybe 45-20.

I actually had to Google the word "Capon".

A castrated rooster.

I always just assumed it was like "pollo" in Spanish and never thought much of it. I didn't realize just how perfectly it describes those inbred Cootish Dirtpeckers.

It's pronounced "L Heff A" and it means "The Boss".

I can't take credit for Capon...

That moniker was bestowed upon uof6c years ago by RevDodd.
