Some stats to frame last night's defensive performance...

Sep 10, 2017, 10:21 AM

Auburn averaged 1.8 yards per play against Clemson. It hasn't had a game with fewer than 3.0 yards per play in the last 10 years.

Auburn yards per quarter: 95, 32, 14, 6. That is insane. How many teams have a defense that wears down the offense?

11 sacks. 11. In a close game with a team with a strong running game and a "dual threat" QB.

Touchdowns scored through 2 games: 0.

Who was the gambler that got everyone upset because he mocked the idea that Clemson is "suddenly" going to become a defensive powerhouse on Twitter?

My favorite stat other than the final score is; Auburn gained 55% of their total yardage on their opening drive. Absolutely unbelievable. Once our D settled down to force a field goal on that opening drive, it was pure and total domination.
