Sobering?

Williams and Crater run wild against everyone but Notre Dame. Will be really interesting to see if the Tigers can keep the Irish defense honest with some decent running plays.

our defense being gutted was our issue..with all our starters healthy we should win by two scores.

I hope you are correct. I think some semblance of a run game would help the Tigers secure the victory.

I agree. Offense wasn't the issue. 439 yards passing by a Freshman QB making his first college start. Defense is what we need!

But the offense did cough it up twice deep in our end, surrendering 10 points. And the offense could not pick up a first down when the game was on the line. And the run game was non-existent. Similar results will likely lose the game. And the Clemson defense had held the Irish to just 19 points until 1:45 to go. It fell apart after that, but I believe the injuries had much to do with it.

We had NO running game against ND—-33 rushes for 34 yards. The worst any team did against ND this season. If DJU hadn’t had a stellar day throwing the ball, it would have be a beat down by ND.

lawrence is a threat to run on zone reads..dj wasnt..they knew dj wasnt going to run..lawrence poses that threat though

Another thought in all of this. If we can run the ball some, it will keep the Irish defense on the field and ours off. Will also limit the time of possession for the Irish offense.
