because of the horrible stadium deal, there is no way he was keeping that payroll for more than one season even if they were winning. It's much more profitable for him to keep a tiny payroll and keep rolling in the money

World Series. Trying every year for 14 years in a row only got the Braves one. That year just happened to be the the year and it all fell apart, really quick.
