inside a bank in Clemson? It was an interesting situation to be in to say the least! When dad lived at the Downs in Clemson, the Downs passed a rule that no residents could have any kind of fire arm in the apartments. So dad had decided to put his 357 in his safety deposit box at the bank!
A couple of weeks after it happened, I went by Clemson to visit. He ask me if I would drive him to the bank to get some cash. He always carried a small brief case when he went. When we got to the bank, he said that he wanted to get somethings out of his safety deposit box.
So when we went to get the box, he ask me to hold the brief case and proceeded to hand me a 357 Colt Python Magnum to put into the brief case. Then he said let's go to the teller and make a withdrawal. I could see the newspaper headlines "Local Father Son Apprehended in Bank Robbery"!
Needless to say dad's note that he gave the teller was a list of currency domination that he would go and get every month to pay for activities at the Downs. I've never been so nervous walking out of a bank in my life. When we got back to the apartment, he told me to put the guns in my car and take it home. He said at 97, he no longer need home protection! I agreed!

Have not seen a bank lobby open in two weeks. Worse is the DMV. If you haven't got a drive-thru, you are in trouble as a business. The only thing good about this is the gas prices are extremely low. And there is nowhere to go. Just think of all the money Charleston lost with no one to celebrate their 350th anniversary.
