So I'm hoping that most of you realize

Mar 12, 2017, 9:08 AM

we have no more daylight than we had before Sat. If you don't, post here and I will respond with further explanation, in a professional manner. I just heard a major TV figure say we "have a lot more daylight" now. I thought this was pretty funny.

Definitely have more snow now.

Is that due to the days being longer or not?

that extra hour of sun makes a big difference. ;)

But seriously, as a working stiff/gentleman farmer, I LOVE the "extra" hour in the PM, as it truly IS an extra hour for me to get home and do work with my animals or tend to my chores. Now, I won't have to rush directly home to try and feed the chickens before they go to roost.

Technically, we DO have more sunlight today than yesterday. About 2 minutes more.

..few minutes "a lot". Will be "a lot" more daylight each day up until ~ June 20. Typical for one to think the government can control the amount of daylight, etc that we receive.

Ok, got it, so we have more daylight now, - IDEA - what if we did not go to daylight savings time, could we get less daylight - thus lower the temp - thus counteract global warming? I wonder why no one has thought of this :)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The real question is, what is everyone going to do with all

Mar 12, 2017, 9:48 AM

extra daylight you just received?

My understanding way back when the daylight savings time was implemented, the main purpose was so that kids wasn't standing out by the road in the darkness hours of the morning waiting on the school bus. Moving the clock forward or backward never creates anymore daylight hours, only the changing of the seasons can make such changes as to when we have more daylight hours. So knowing this, leads me to believe that the TV figure was full of chit with his assessment!!!

Global warming didn't happen until we decided to save daylight. ;)
