resounding success. So while I was making my Christmas cookies this year, I had made a batch of snickerdoodles the normal way and they were the typical goodness. This past weekend we made some bacon, and while I was dumping the grease into the nice contraption krzywife got a while back (it's something like this) that we keep in the freezer, I realized we had quite a good bit saved up.

Recalling the snickerdoodle recipe was all shortening and no butter, figured I would try a batch with the bacon fat instead of the shortening...and holy shitballz are they good. Adds a smoky depth to the cookie, would recommend.

Now to give away all the cookies to friends before I eat them all.
