Interesting question. Especially since ND competed this year as look-a-like ACC member.

They also shared their $$$ from their TV deal with us. So I am not sure what the split is, but the ACC should benefit from Notre Dame making the field.

Last year each of the four teams received $6 million fo be distributed according their conference distribution policies.

In addition each team received $2.4 million for their expenses in the playoff games.

Teams and conferences receive no additional money for a semifinal game or the championship game.
