for their home games, every single fan can hear every single word he shouts. Were he winning a little more that fan base might put up with it, but at the current pace I don't see that marriage lasting too much longer.

the box score. That includes all spoken for ticket sales and promotions, not turnstile #'s. SCar's biggest problem ultimately for basketball is that outside of KY, when a good 1/3 are UK fans that help fill the place, that cavernous arena is like a ghost town. SEC basketball is a lifeless entity. There's no passion, no rivalries, nada.
FWIW, it's also more people that can fit in Cameron Indoor. Wanna talk atmosphere?

as it has ever been in my lifetime and quite possibly in the history of the program.
Paying Frank Martin $2 million annually to replace Darrin Horn has really worked-out well for them (rolling eyes).
At the current pace, Martin's team will be lucky if they can match the record that Horn's last $CU team achieved (10 - 21 record overall with a 2 - 14 record in the $EC). At least they were only paying Horn $1.1 million for such lousy results.

Yeah but they don't care about basketball remember? lol If they suck it in, it don't count. Atleast we're pretty relevant in all 3 major Sports...2 for sure, b-ball has a legitimate shot at a top 25 bid if they pull off another big upset.

so was Martin basically left with nothing? Or is this another example of Horn being a press guy and the current players don't fit the current style?
It's one thing to not be competitive, but to not be competitive against the bottom of the SEC is pretty bad...and yes I am aware of our losses to Auburn and Arkansas.

Because of his well-documented temperament, kids are going to be reluctant to play for him.
Unless he pulls a Slurrier and a couple of very highly ranked players fall bass-ackwards right into his hands, recruiting well be an on-going problem for him.
