Should someone provide a Covid-19 word of the day?

Apr 4, 2020, 9:24 AM

There is so much misinformation, perhaps some basic, but important to the virus, word definitions might be helpful?

e.g. Since Covid is zoonotic, transferred from non-human to human...

Zoonosis:

BTW, bats are our friends. My background is BioChem, but my <3 is Game Theory & how it related to Biology included, not limited to ecosystems 'n such. It's the good stuff, predictors & zero sums.

I'll start the Word of the day:

Stay home.

Seems a 'phrase' & the "why" we can't have nice things...***

Apr 4, 2020, 10:16 AM

maybe you'd like to champion that task?

Haven't been out in public for 22 days. Top that!

No thanks, I came to the Upstate weeks ago, long before...

Apr 4, 2020, 10:28 AM

any stay at homes were ordered to make sure my mother bunkered early in the event.

I go out for essentials only & at the break of dawn. The one thing for me that's been burdensome, is I don't sleep so I'd be at a 24hour location in the 3AM, while others do.

Because of the reduced hours, many like me have been forced into a window of people, it's created bottlenecks that did not exist prior.

It's OK, because the Greater Good is seemingly in play.

You want a lifetime of conversation, rhetoric, theory & thought, begin in earnest a discussion on Greater Good. Try to keep it limited to a defined area of concern or effect.

Good luck with that one.

All the best.

Heard this one used by a doctor Thursday.

Hypoxia

Hypoxia[1] is a condition in which the body or a region of the body is deprived of adequate oxygen supply at the tissue level. Hypoxia may be classified as either generalized, affecting the whole body, or local, affecting a region of the body. Although hypoxia is often a pathological condition, variations in arterial oxygen concentrations can be part of the normal physiology, for example, during hypoventilation training or strenuous physical exercise.
