Alcohol destroys your immune system. I would be hammering vitamin C or Emergen-C and water in preparation that you have it and be hydrated and build up the immunity to fight it bettter.

Had it in 2009. Almost put me in the hospital. Developed pneumonia. But....haven't had the flu since.
