Saw where Egbuka got a CB to Bucknuts

Dec 10, 2020, 10:12 AM

How have they suddenly become a WR recruiting Mecca? The only WR we beat them on recently was Stileto (sp). I believe Brian Hartline, former WR under Meyer, is the WR coach. Is he the reason? Kinda like a Jeff Scott??? Something is drawing these kids there and who’s going to throw to them when Fields goes to the NFL?

They also flipped a 5 star QB from Texas

Have you ever been to Ohio State?

Other than having a couple of major highways running right through the middle of campus, the facilities are top notch, so I can somewhat understand the appeal.

It would be even better if it wasn't located in the state of Ohio and their fans and coach weren't a bunch of candy a$$ crybabies.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Egbuka has been projected to Ohio State for a while ...this isn’t news....

I’m not especially concerned about anything Ohio State does unless we are playing them...
Annoyed by them ..yes? Concerned? Nope...

We are doing just fine in WR recruiting....
More than fine really ...
We’ve had a tough year health wise at WR...

But I’ll put Ladson, Ngata, Williams, Collins, Collins, Stilleto,Ajou, Spector, etc etc
Against any WR corps in the nation ...

This doesn’t account for the possibility that Ross comes back or with Covid rules Amari and Powell stay...

As far as pass catchers go ...
We’re loaded at TE...with the number one TE in the country on the way...

Shipley has also proven to be a good receiving option in HS...

what we really have concerns about is getting the DBs

Dec 10, 2020, 10:58 AM

that can neutralize the elite WRs that we don't get. We've got to get more high level/shutdown corners, where as lately we've gotten more of the nickel/safety variety of DB... two more shutdown corner types and we'll be good to deal with anybody.

Ohio State is hot on the recruiting trail definitely

At times it has been UGA, us, LSU, etc. Bama has been steady in the top 3 for years now. But now it's Ohio State. All those WR can't play together though so I'm sure there will be some attrition. Hartline is a good young coach who is a great recruiter.
