Roku/Firestick ? for the bored...

Lately watching Sling on Roku i get the Blackboard saying unplug this and that and the other, which does nothing...I switch to the Firestick and smooth sailing...Strictly from an academic curiosity, using a Roku Premier and gold plated HDMI, why am i having this glitch??? TIA PS, i can watch Youtube all day with NO problem on the Roku...

Roku works like crap with YouTube tv, but great with other streaming like netflix

My Roku Ultra works great with YouTube. I can't comment on Sling. Have you checked to make sure your Roku model is on Roku's list of compatible models?

On several TVs I've tried. I always have it plugged directly into an hdmi port on the TV. And, I use the external power supply. Do you use the power adapter?

I do not like sling on the roku, much prefer my firestick 4k to the roku stick + (they should be comparable performance). The sling app is just so slow and not worth the addition of last 5 channel option compared to sling app on firestick.

YouTube works great on anything although it's best over my Apple TV.

Picked up a Roku Streaming + stick this summer and we run YouTubeTV from it all day, works flawlessly. Also streaming Netflix and Disney+, great device. Just get the newest Roku and a solid wifi connection and it will work.
