Saw that too. Missed it by a foot.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I was expecting some sort of slide into home...

Apr 23, 2016, 4:42 PM

But that didn't happen.

I totally agree. He missed it twice. The first time and on the replay. We will see if anyone says anything about it to start the late game.

On deck batter should have been watching that and made him get back and tag the plate.

Fundamentals win and lose games

Re: Rohlman missed home plate

Apr 23, 2016, 5:20 PM

The umpire saw it and looked at the Tech catcher, but the catcher tossed him the ball ending the game.

Re: Rohlman missed home plate

Thought it interesting that the home plate umpire never gave the safe signal, indicating he was aware that Rohlman missed the plate.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

if Georgia Tech had appealed...

Apr 23, 2016, 5:26 PM

Then we would have went to the 11th inning

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think

Apr 23, 2016, 5:41 PM

that would have been the second out and we would have had a man on second.

You are also assuming the umpire saw it.
