My uncle is a real estate development tycoon, and u.s. senator from crack HOLE, and growing up I spent a ton of time in that dump...you're right, complete coot$hit all around. I HATE that place, and the fact that ALMOST zero talent out of crack hole ever comes to Clemson makes me hate it THAT much more...lol
GO TIGERS!

I love about 35 min away on some land and go there to "go into town". Think you mayonnaise hit a bad section. Stay near Nichols and nicer areas. Plenty of Clemson fans in town. That post was beyond stupid.

I don't know who this UNcle that is a US senator from Rock Hill is. There hasn't been a US senator from RH in at least the last 20 years if ever.

I am from RH and .... well, I guess I kind of agree with you. There are some good Clemson folks from RH but in all honest most are coots. I never understood why other than almost everyone I knew wanted to go to Clemson but couldn't get in. Their fallback was always SC. I love my hometown but I will never move back.

LOL....Well, I grew up there and have family in Rock Hill

who wouldn't live anywhere else...despite the number of Gamecock fans.
When I left in 1965 to enter Clemson, I said I wanted to live in a larger city after completing school and the military. Soooooooooooooooooo, I chose where? Columbia...of all places.
Maybe, my Mother had the right idea: "Why in the world would you want to live in Columbia when all your family and friends are in Rock Hill?"
Nevertheless, my good buddy and longtime TigerNet stalwart, RH Tiger, no doubt, will enter the fray if he reads this; hence, my best advice: you might want to add a "j/k" to your post.
(Insert...little yellow winky face...lol)

I lived in RH for 2-3 years, but we were beating the chickens those years so it was tolerable. But you're right about it being too many coots. It was fun living there when I could chastise them every day.

The make up of Rock Hill
Apr 4, 2015, 6:28 PM
|

I agree that there are many more Gamecock fans in Rock Hill then Clemson fans. If you look in the nicer neighborhoods with higher income earners in Rock Hill though I'd argue it's more 50/50 or even a slight advantage to Clemson fans with a lot of other fan bases mixed in, noticeably a large UNC fan base. The middle class poorer sections of Rock Hill have a strong University of South Carolina lean. The closer to I-77 you get the higher percentage of Gamecock fans in the old Rock Hill High school district. The old Northwestern School District before realignment in the mid 2000s is where the majority of Clemson fans reside. Fort Mill school district tends to have a lot more outside college choice influences as it is a big relocation center, but has more of a Clemson feel than South Carolina in my opinion, probably due to elite school district and decision of more of its graduates to attend the top school in the state.
