Rewatching FSU gane on Fox now

Surprised how we could drive it to the rim given their size and how we adjusted to outscore them in the paint. Early on it looked like they could go over us any time they wanted

Agreed. Second half much different than first. FSU shot over 65% first half from field....we had no answer in paint first half but the boys locked down in second. And what about John Newman’s effort....proud of the strides he has made even while his three point shot was off he found the energy to get to the basket...what an effort!!!

Sometimes coaches who are really into the game will make half time adjustments that changes a lot of things. Clemson football does this quite often so it’s no surprise that the basketball staff can do it as well!

Good halftime adjustments. Dawes and Newman's abilities to drive the ball to the basket. Mack and Trapp too. Even without one of the best offensive games from Simms he was still a factor in other ways. Good adjustments second half by the coaching staff.

If you were there for the game give credit to the band and the crowd making it a tuff environmental to play in....band and student section were unbelievable and the crowd was there for the team in the last seven minutes. Hats off to everyone in the John yesterday!,,,

FSU was very aggressive on the perimeter defensively...

That can work with getting turnovers and causing chaos (which they did at times)...but if the guards drive around it they can get to the basket....you have to be aggressive against their aggression.
The best part about yesterday is that FSU played well, looked like a top 10 team...yet we still won the game somehow.
I don’t necessarily look forward to seeing them on a neutral court...they have lost a few tough road games this year...but have won the rest.
