Clearly went over the pylon

Sep 13, 2018, 9:37 AM

I wonder if the officials were able to see this angle. Crazy that the Aggie's own youtube channel had this angle.

unless you have an arial shot, you can’t say that’s clear.

Surprised there aren’t better angles on goal lines. It’s 2018.

The aerial angle goes not matter. The ball literally cant get where it is in this frame unless it crosses the pylon. Go back and look at the pylon cam too. The ball exits the screen at the top of the frame, indicating it crossed over the pylon. Even if it touches the vertical plane of the pylon at all it is a touchback.

I thought the pylon cam they showed was pretty clear.

That ball went directly over the top of the frame which would tell me it went over the pylon. All the other angles were inconclusive.

I think it went over the pylon, but that photo sure does not confirm it. From that angle you have no idea where the ball is in relation to the pylon. the best view was from the official running directly down the sideline about 5 yards from where the ball was fumbled. I feel sure he was the one that called the play.

With the ball on the right side of the pylon and the Aggie player’s hands being on the left, the ball crossed the line to the right of the pylon. Go look at the Aggie blog and slowmo the video. Definitively proves ball went to the right.

GPS tracking data and telemetry verified by the ISS clearly shows that ball crossing the plane on top right corner of the pylon.
