Blanks and peters at corner and play freaking lateek im tired of seeing our soft safety play when we have a headhunter on the bench. You see how long it took them to realize shuey could play. I dont know why we dont put the best players on the field.

playing. I haven't seen ANYTHING other than a few special teams plays. I think the coaches and BV are probably keeping track of how he is practicing and whether or not he is grasping the scheme.
Judging by the VERY limited snaps, I would say he is not performing better than the first stringers. Lets let the coaches make the decisions.

yr that justify them playing. Poor tackling and soft play meeks and hall have been the most dissapointing part of this team

if our sub par first string safeties are practicing far and away better than Teek and/or understanding the scheme more... then they will keep their starting spot.
This is obviously the case, but NONE of us are out there watching practice and in position meetings so we don't know much more about Teek than how many stars he had a couple of years ago.

who doesn't know assignments and flies all over the place head hunting and picking up personal fouls?Yea thats really what we need.First play he would be in there and he bites on a run fake and you see Campanaro flying straight down the middle of the field wide open,what would you say then?

playing safety.
He played OLB in HS and has trained/practiced there since being at CU. Evidently the experience of our professional defensive coaches lends them to having the opinion that he shouldn't be playing safety for Clemson. So based on the above facts, I agree with them.
Is he a good enough athlete to play safety? Maybe. But that's not in the best interest for Clemson right now, again according to our highly paid coaching staff.
I know we've struggled at safety this year but Meeks and Hall have played well in the past. Meeks obviously had a much better game vs VT. Both will probably be our starters for the rest of the season.
I'm moving on to other threads now.

when they're being recruited and they get all hyped thinking they're going to be able to come in quick and apply that in the higher levels of competition.

Blanks at corner and Townsend at safety? Yeah let's play everyone out of position. That way when we get burnt, it's because nobody knows what they're doing. But hey, at least the best players are on the field right?

You are right about Blanks but Townsend was listed at OLB on every recruiting service. Watch his highlights and point out to me where he's at safety

Please tell us what game and practice film you have seen to justify starting Townsend?Id love to know why we need him on the field when he can't even learn the defense.He was a loose cannon on the field in high school so what if he "headhunted".Personal fouls and blown coverages is not what this defense needs.

Have you watched Townsend this year? No, because he doesn't play. He doesn't know what he's doing out there, why will you put an even worse player in at a totally new position? At the very least Meeks and Hall know the playbook and can read and react to plays. Townsend will be a head hunter at safety but what good does taking someone's head off if he gets burnt on the very next play by that same headless receiver?

Yeah... I think this is a terrible idea. He has no clue what he's doing at linebacker so just throw him in there at safety and let him blow all kinds off coverage.
