Good ball player. When he plays within their system I believe hes a very solid college QB. Efficient for the most part, takes pretty good care of the ball and dosnt overreach. I have only watched a bit of him in several games, but has decent mechanics that dont need a ton of work, has maybe slightly better than average arm strength and touch. Another year as a starter will definitely benefit him. To me next year would be his year, although same could be said of Trevor for two more years.

He's a shorter version of NC State's Ryan Finley. He's only about 6' tall, hits about 70%, but if you look at the balls he's hitting it's mostly high-percentage short stuff...he actually doesn't have a terribly live arm...very un-like Trevor, actually. He's not a tremendous runner but he's a willing one and is also willing to stick his nose in there to get the first down.
Also like Finley, he has big receivers on the outside who can win 1-on-1's.

I agree with you on this one. He's very accurate under 25 yards, and his accuracy drops off a great deal on longer throws. He has a tendency to overthrow on longer passes. He also continues to improve, so he may correct that before too long.
He also sees the field very well, often hitting over a half dozen different receivers in a game. And, he's a better runner than he looks. This game will show how good he is, or isn't.

My first thought when I read this was just like Ryan Finley but a bit more athletic.
Good comparison but I worry (only slightly) more about his athleticism. Only thing I can add is when pocket breaks down he can move a little bit.

The ND QB situation reminds me of ours

Wimbush = KB. Book came in and gave them a much more multi-dimensional offense. I wouldn't compare him to TL, though. Book = Chase Brice.

I hope he's not that good.

We could get a run for our money. Imo, Chase is the second best QB in the country. He just hasn't had opportunity to show it yet.

I'm "afraid" he is that good. But if we

could play ourselves with TL on one Clemson team vs CB on the other, I would bet on us with Trevor vs us with Chase.

One stat that usually tells the tale is completion percentage against the blitz / pressure. I have not been able to find that info on Book. Has anyone seen that stat?
